This class is for anyone taking an AHA class for the first time or have an expired certification.  

This American Heart Association couse is designed for anyone in the medical field requiring CPR training: Nurses; physicians; Emergency Medical Technicians; Paramedics; nursing assistants (CNA's); physical, occupational, respiratory therapists and others.

Topics include one and two rescuer CPR for the adult, child and infant; Ambu bag (bag mask) and mouth to mask resuscitation; use of the automatic external defibrillator (AED) and team BLS skills. 

 
Certification: American Heart Association eCard, valid for two years --  issued after the class.
 
Length: Three hours, includes skills and written test
 
Cost: is $65  -- this does NOT include the required textbook
 

The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Consistent with the American Red Cross Focused Updates and Guidelines 2020, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.

This class is ONLY AVAILABLE if you have a current AHA BLS certification, or expired by no more than 30 days.

This class is for BASIC LIFE SUPPORT SKILLS CHECK only.  You must have finished the on-line program before coming to class.

American Heart Association Certificates available for an additional $25 fee due to higher rates for these certification cards. 

This class is for everyone that is not working in the medical field. -Daycare providers, personal trainers, coaches, school teachers, construction, etc. The skills in this class include: Opening airway, Rescue breathing, Choking for the conscious and unconscious victim, and CPR. You will also learn the importance of proper patient assessment. Then after a thorough evaluation of the patient you will learn skills such as bleeding control, immobilization of fractures, strains and sprains, burn care, asthma, diabetes, seizures, anaphylactic shock, and much more.

These classes fulfill all requirements for those certified as Foster Parents, Group Homes, Child Cares, Day cares, and Elder Care facilities.

This program meets all OSHA requirements.  Certifications available through The American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety and Health Institute, Medic First Aid

Our instructors meet the requirements for the Colorado Department of Human Services approved vendor program.  

 

Cost for the class is $55 per person.

This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) certification or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions on the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a precourse skills session and classroom segments. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. For more information, please reference the attachment you will receive via e-mail when you register for this course.

Thank you for registering for the American Red Cross Instructor Course.  You will receive an email with directions for completing the on-line portion of the training.  If you do not have a current provider card for CPR or BLS please call for information on how to obtain one for a reduced rate before the class. Become an AHA Instructor

 

  1. Complete an Instructor Candidate Application for the TC before enrolling in an AHA Instructor Course.
  2. Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include ACLS, BLS, PALS, PEARS and Heartsaver.
  3. Successfully complete the Instructor Essentials Course for the discipline for which you are becoming an Instructor, including both the online portion and the classroom/hands-on session.
  4. Successfully be monitored teaching within 6 months of completing the hands-on session of their Instructor Essentials Course (TC Coordinators may require additional monitoring, if needed)

Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network.

The American Red Cross Babysitters Training provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old.

The cost of the class includes the BABYSITTER PARTICIPANT MANUAL.

Front Range CPR is a proud provider of the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training and Pediatric First Aid/CPR Course. Babysitter's Training and Pediatric First Aid/CPR provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business; keep themselves and other safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care. The recommended age for this cource is 11 - 15 years old. This course prepares participants for babysitting work by practicing hands-on skills with manikins and learning skills in scenarios. The skills cover first-aid, diaper changing, feeding infants and children, rescue breathing, emergency procedures, safety, and includes First Aid and Pediatric CPR. Marketing and best babysitting business practices are also covered in the course material. Upon successfully completing this course, participants will receive a certification in Babysitting, Pediatric CPR, and First-Aid. 

This is a 2 day program !!!

Participants must be at least 11 years of age.

THIS CLASS IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS 11 YEARS TO 15 YEARS OLD !!

WFA  Advanced Wilderness First Aid (16 hour program)

Total cost for this 2 day class is $150.  A nonrefundable deposit of $25 is due to secure your spot.

Designed for scouts and scout leaders, coaches, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.

Prerequisites: Must be at least 13 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification.

2 year certification

Digital certificate available upon successful completion of course

Course length: 16 hours

WFA  Advanced Wilderness First Aid (16 hour program)

Renewal certification.  You must have a current WFA cert to qualify for the renewal program.  The previous certification must be from a "In Person" class.  Proof of certification required at check in.
